Tribute to Education 2020

Global Village Project's annual Tribute to Education Gala will be held on April 19th, 2020. Join us at The Temple for an evening of celebration featuring dinner and cocktails, a live auction, a performance by the GVP Chorus, and more! Above all, Tribute is a powerful opportunity to take part in GVP's work and community. Last year, through the generosity of our global village family, we raised $250,000 and made a huge impact on the remarkable educational journeys of the young women at GVP. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the event website below.

Authors' Teas

One of our favorite GVP traditions is our quarterly Authors’ Teas, where students showcase their learning in a performance for community members. We invite the public to join us at these events, held on Friday afternoons throughout the school year.

Our 2019-2020 Authors' Teas dates are September 27th, December 6th, March 6th, and May 1st. RSVP for our next Authors' Tea.

Global Village Welcome Walk

Our annual fall Welcome Walk (previously called the Connecting Communities Walk) is a tradition at GVP that celebrates community building and friend raising. Welcome Walk participants walk the 4.8 miles from Clarkston, where our students live, to GVP in downtown Decatur.

The Welcome Walk is a fun-filled morning for meeting new and old friends, learning about GVP, and sharing music and food… with a bit of exercise thrown in! The event is growing each year, with more than 300 participants at our November 2019 walk.

If you represent a business interesting in sponsoring the next Welcome Walk in 2020, please contact Kate Mull at kmull@globalvillageproject.org for more information.

On November 2, 2019, more than 300 participants joined GVP for our Welcome Walk from Clarkston to Decatur.
