With the release of our new strategic plan, we are continuously growing and setting new goals at GVP. This month, we welcomed the Southern Association of Independent School (SAIS) to our campus for the final stages of our accreditation process. The purpose of SAIS is “to strengthen member schools by providing high-quality accreditation processes, comprehensive professional growth opportunities, and visionary leadership development programs.” The visit from the SAIS team helped us strive for our current goals and ensured we stay true to our culture, history, mission and vision.

We started the visitation with a staff dinner joined by our SAIS Accreditation team: Damian Kavanagh (MISBO), Drew Frank (The David Academy), Tasha Wisehart (The Schenck School) and Krista Parker (Atlanta Girls School).

The team also spent time inside of the classrooms and with students at lunch. After a year-long planning process culminating in this final week of meeting with representatives onsite, the SAIS committee has recommended GVP for accreditation. We look forward to the next steps in the process, and reaching our goals to expand GVP’s work and mission.
