Volunteering at Global Village Project
Global Village Project is a volunteer-driven organization. Our students could not have the individualized educational experience which GVP provides without the support of our wonderful community of volunteers.
Since we are a school, most of our volunteer opportunities take place on week days, from 9AM-5PM. There are very limited volunteer opportunities outside this time frame, for groups of volunteers or for minors under age 18. Please read the information below about opportunities and our intake and training process thoroughly before applying.
Volunteer Intake Process
- Submit the online form. Due to high volume, it may take 7-10 business days to receive a response. Please be patient with us!
- Attend a New Volunteer Orientation. You must RSVP to attend. Please do not show up without confirmation.
- Submit volunteer paperwork, including a background check and liability release.
GVP’s volunteer needs fluctuate. The most up-to-date information about opportunities will be available at New Volunteer Orientation.

provides background information about the countries our students come from, and the refugee resettlement process that brings them to the United States.
Session 3: The Trauma of Displacement
