GVP offers a number of unpaid internships each school year. Whether you are interested in learning more about how a nonprofit runs or gaining experience in the classroom, our internships provide hands-on and real-world learning opportunities. Please see the below position descriptions for details on how to apply.
Intern will support the Community Engagement Associate in improving management systems for volunteer program and community partnerships.
Development/Marketing Intern (Spring Only)
Intern will support the Development team in increasing revenue from our fall and spring fundraising campaigns and events.
Intern will work closely with GVP teachers to support refugee English language learners in the classroom.
Intern will work with faculty and/or staff to support English language learners in the classroom and/or complete administrative tasks to further the nonprofit work of the organization.
Kennesaw State University/Drama/English Language Arts Intern
Intern will work as a bridge between Synchronicity Theatre’s Playmaking for Girls program team and a content area teacher, usually ELA. Interns will aid the content teacher with drama integration in language acquisition. **Interns are recruited through KSU and receive a stipend.
Intern will work closely with GVP teachers to support refugee learners by preparing class materials and providing basic technology support.
Playmaking for Girls (PFG) Intern
Intern will work with the Synchronicity Theatre’s Playmaking for Girls program team. This drama program helps teen girls find their voices through the theatre arts. **Interns are usually recruited through PFG.
Intern will support the Head of School and Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator in researching and improving assessment methods and tools and curriculum development.
Intern will work closely with the STEAM Coordinator and GVP teachers to support refugee English language learners in the classroom.
Intern will work closely with GVP’s ESOL/English Literacy teacher to create curriculum for ELA, Guided Reading, and Literacy support for all Content Areas
