Women coming together to
ensure student success
and the sustainability of our school.
“Many children around the world do not have the freedom to get an education. I never had the opportunity to go to school when I was in Somalia. There was always some kind of war going on, and we were always moving from place to place. Everything changed when I came to the United States. I was almost 12 years old and I didn’t even know how to write my own name. Today I am amazed at how much I have achieved. I can see that I will have a bright future, filled with hope and accomplishment because of my dedication to education.”
-Nura Mohamed, GVP alumna and Georgia Perimeter College student
Cornerstone Society is a community of women who have pledged to make an annual contribution of $5,000 or more each year, over a period of three years. By pledging multi-year support, Society members provide GVP with ongoing funding for staff salaries that is vital to the sustainability of our school.
According to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, “Today there are 57 million children out of school—and most of them are girls.” By making a Cornerstone pledge, you will join a group of women who are helping refugee girls with interrupted schooling right here in Georgia have access to the education to pursue their dreams.
